Brief trip across Eastern Europe - made a plan but need help it is actually feasible and some clarity
Hi,
Apologies if this breaks any rules but hope not as I have a trip planned and ready to book but really need to sanity check and clear a few things.
I only have a couple weeks so I am trying to 'hit' as many cities/countries as possible. I know I won't experience much as it's barely a visit but still.
Can I please get some feedback/suggestions on my current plan:
- 14th Feb - Land in Oslo (1 night in hotel)
- 15th Feb - Fly in the evening to Stockholm (1 night in hotel)
- 16th Feb - Stockholm (spend night in airport for 6am flight)
- 17th Feb - Fly to Copenhagen (1 night in hotel)
- 18th Feb - Fly to Warsaw (2 nights hotel)
- 20th Feb - Fly to Prague (2 nights hotel)
- 22nd Feb - Train to Vienna (1 night hotel)
- 23rd Feb - Train to Bratislava (1 night hotel)
-
24th Feb - Coach/Train to Budapest (1 night hotel)
-
25th - Fly back
I am well aware this is an extreme whistle stop tour if it is even that but I tried to maximise time based on the flights/trains I looked at.
I was hoping to really get clarity on:
1) Is there a train to Budapest from Bratislava? I can only see coaches but then I also read at the same time the bus station is closed and there is a train but have to buy there? Anyone have any experience?
2) How safe are these cities?
3) Is it easy to get a taxi when needed?
4) How stupid am I to even do this?
Thanks in advance
