I've been saving for the past year for my first solo adventure, and I want to pull the trigger and book for July of this year. I've got no idea where I should go or what I should do, but I want to venture out and really get some bang for my hard-earned bucks.

I've been mulling over doing the Inca Trail in Peru, or doing a Euro tour, but I've heard mixed things about both and I'm a bit time poor and travelling to and from Australia takes literally a decade so an around the world trip probably isn't an option.

Any and all suggestions here for some rad places to go for a newbie solo traveller would be much appreciated.
