Hey all!

I'll be going on a road trip on Thursday with a good friend with New Orleans as the main destination. We've allocated a couple weeks to do it, and I've attached a map of a few cities we might like to hit. I have a few questions.

  1. Is it better to go through Mississippi or Louisiana and Arkansas in terms of national parks/attractions etc?
  2. What are some places you would definitely recommend on (or around) this route? We are both pretty go with the flow and are trying not to restrict ourselves too much ahead of time so none of the cities are set in stone (besides New Orleans).
  3. Is there anything that would be good to bring on a road trip that one might not necessarily think of? We'll mostly be staying in campgrounds or AirBNB's

Any and all advice (both related and not related to the questions above) would be much appreciated - it's the first major road trip for both of us and we want to make sure we do it right!
