144-hour visa for China or go with the full visa?
Hi! I just booked a round trip ticket to Shanghai for March. I'll be going for 8 days and I can't wait!
I'm wondering if anyone has any opinions or suggestions for getting visas for China. I'm thinking of going with two short tourist visas on arrival (Shanghai offers 144 hr visas) but I would have to leave the country, go someplace else for 2 days then come back and see if I can get another short tourist visa. I'm not even sure if that's allowed.
Or I can get a tourist visa from the consulate for the full 8 days, which would mean I would be able to spend more time in Mainland China, but it's more expensive and there's a lot of forms involved and I would probably need to spend a day at the consulate. Also fine with doing that. Any thoughts on the matter or if anyone has any experience with it then please let me know! Also if anyone has any must see things in China, let me know! I'm already planning on taking a train to Bejing for a few days and I've looked into transportation to Hong Kong, is there anywhere else I should go?
Thanks so much!
