Travel Advice: 42 hours in New Delhi and safety?
Hi there,
I arrive in New Delhi around 9:30am on a Saturday and leave around 3:30am on a Monday. My first priority would be to see the Taj Mahal but would like to make the most of my time in the city and see some of New Delhi if at all possible. Due to the small amount of time I have I'm willing to spend a bit more money for any added conveniences and ease of travel. I haven't booked a hotel yet. Lastly, I've never been to India and but I've done a little research but would like any input you're willing to give
Whats the safest way to get to Agra? (I've heard it's not safe to travel at night and I'm not very comfortable navigating public transit. I grew up in a small town not having much exposure to it)
Is it worth being at the Taj Mahal for sunrise?
What would be the best way to see New Delhi if I have time? Are there hotel provided tour guides I can hire?
Any and all other recommendations are welcome. Thanks!
On a personal note, I'm a little new to reddit but have been following this sub and really admire the advice given and discussions here! I've done solo travel in Paris, Rome and Barcelona and its been a wonderful experience but have a feeling India is going to be a completely different and overwhelming trying to get around on my own.
