Thanks for giving me the courage to take my first solo trip!
I (20F) live in Wisconsin at the moment and I’m taking a short trip to Ohio and Indiana soon. This is my first time going solo, although I’ve taken little day trips by myself before. It’s definitely not as cool as some of the other trips I see on here to places like Amsterdam and Paris, but I’m still really excited! Following this subreddit has made me feel better about going solo, so thank you all for sharing your stories and encouraging people like me to forget about their nerves and just do it.
I have never been anywhere other than the surrounding states of Wisconsin, (hell, I’ve never even been on a plane) so I’m excited to expand my map a bit. I figured I would start out small and work my way up to bigger things. This past year has been really crappy for me in a lot of different ways that I’m not going to bore you with, but I’ve decided to embrace my loneliness right now. I’m starting off 2019 right with a trip to places I’ve never been to before and hopefully moving to a new city in the near future! I don’t think I would have gotten the nerve to do all this if it weren’t for reading the stories of girls my age taking awesome trips and having fun on their own. So thank you so much! Just had to let you guys know how much your stories have helped me and probably a lot of others!
