Studying Abroad in Budapest
Hello, I (19M) am going to be studying abroad in Budapest this coming semester from January to May. I want to make the most out of this opportunity since I’m from the US and have never been to Europe before, so I was wondering if you all had any recommendations for weekend trips in Europe.
I have no classes on Fridays, so I would be traveling Friday and going back Sunday for most of these trips. I also have spring break which is also a week long. I was hoping to visit some these places:
Prague Vienna Poland (Krakow and Warsaw) The Balkans Italy (Maybe spend a week there for spring break?) Munich
I know I could spend days in each of these places, but since I have maybe one full day of visiting (including travel), which ones would be more worth it to go to?
I was also wondering which method of transportation would be cheapest. I was thinking of getting a Eurail pass for $440 USD, but I’m thinking buses might be cheaper. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!
