Planning advice on a spontaneous trip!

Hi, so I’ve recently graduated and decided I want to do a long trip before I get fully into work. However I’ve never done a solo trip before and could use some advice :) I want to leave sooner rather than later (end of January/early feb) time and be gone for 2 months but I’m pretty flexible staying longer or shorter depending on how much fun I’m having.

My situation is this, from the uk and I have a budget of about £3.5k that needs to cover everything including flights etc.

Most common options are, Europe, south east Asia and Australia.

I have a Australian working holiday visa already but with my budget aus sounds the most expensive and I’m not sure if I want to spend most of my time looking for a job and working. However if I can save enough money while there to help find an apartment when back then possibly a good shout.

SEA seems like the most exotic and cheapest to go, but I’m slightly worried about healthcare stuff (first time), how important are vaccinations actually? I hate needles and it may mean I have to change the date when I leave which Id rather not, (says takes 8 weeks to get em all).

Europe is close to home and very no fuss, but maybe toooo close to home and it’s winter here. Flights are cheap but not sure how long my money would last. I’d probably inter rail if I went this path.

So basically where would you go in my position and why? And any other advice for a nervous first time solo backpacker would be great!
