5 months in PHX - buy or rent a car?
Hello
I'm in Goodyear, AZ for the next 5 months for my flight training and we have the weekends off as well as some days during the week.
We sure want to make some road trips to explore national parks etc., but we really can't decide whether to buy a used car for around 3k or rent one for a flat rate of around 3k as well.
We're 3-4 people sharing the car, and we're also considering for two of us to sleep in it occasionally, so it should be at least a wagon or an SUV.
Buying an old car would have the advantage that the money isn't "lost" it we re-sell it in time. But we're unfamiliar about the cost and the hassle of registering a used car and how much the insurance is (we also have drivers below the age of 25)...
What would you recommend?
