Let's be honest.....
Hi guys,
I'm planning on going on a road trip with my dog for about 3 months. We'll be driving around the US, hopefully camping most of the time and Airbnb and hoteling here and there. Bought an 8 person tent (I know, way too big for 2 people and 1 dog, but it was on sale for prime day and it comes with a screened "porch" area which would be great to clean up the dog before we let him into the sleeping area) and an switched out the smaller car with and SUV. I know we won't be able to explore majority of the National Parks, but that's ok. There are plenty of National Forests and other places to explore on this trip.
Let's be honest. How difficult was it to bring your dog along? Was it worth bringing your dog with you? As devil's advocate, why shouldn't one bring their dog? Any tips that you can give on "oh man, I wish I could have brought this" or "next time I'll make sure to do this"or suggestions on where to go would be awesome.
Our route is (initial stages, the route might change significantly. We are thinking of leaving mid April of next year) :
Minnesota
Texas
Arizona
San Diego
LA/ Vegas
San Francisco
Oregon
Seattle
Alberta, Banff
Seattle
Montana
Wyoming
Utah
Colorado
Minnesota
Thanks in advance!
