3.5 days in Southern Utah and Arizona - Need advice!
My buddy and I are flying into Vegas towards the end of the month, spending ~ 3.5 days exploring southern Utah and northern Arizona but we’re looking for advice on the itinerary. I have minor hip issues so while we want to do some hiking, I’m limited to about 2-4 miles or so per jaunt and do need to stop the car occasionally to stretch.
We’ve narrowed our must sees down to Zion, Bryce, Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend - but aren’t positive the best route to take given the travel times and the time we want to spend in each location. We originally also planned for the first night in Monument Valley as well but I think with the short time we have that would be a stretch.
Current tentative plan:
- Day 1 - Arrive Vegas 10am - drive to Page, AZ - taking a stop at Valley of Fire (time permitting) & Horseshoe Bend - Overnight in Page
- Day 2 - Morning Antelope Canyon Tour, drive to Bryce for late afternoon hike - Overnight near Bryce
- Day 3 - Drive to Zion, Narrows Hike, Overnight at Zion Park Lodge
- Day 4 - Morning hike in Zion, drive back to Vegas, explore Vegas (time permitting) - Flights leave ~ 8/11 pm respectively
Any thoughts on the itinerary? Anything we’re missing? Should skip?
