Moving from East Coast to West Coast - Request for Recommendations
Cheers, everyone!
I am heading out west for a new job with very little time to plan. I still don't know what route I'm taking.
I will depart from Georgia and hopefully make it to Nevada alive, with cat. Google, Waze, my Maps app on my laptop recommend two routes, with a difference of 100< miles.
The first route hits Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada.
The second route hits Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada.
Which route might you recommend, and may I ask why?
It seems that even if I drive nonstop, it would take me 34-37 hours, so I'm definitely going to stop periodically and spend a few nights on the road to decompress and give my cat a break.
Based on which route you think might be most enjoyable, can you recommend any 'must see' sites in areas I'll pass through? Nothing that would require an entire day to see, but cool things I could stop by and see that aren't wayy to far out of my way.
I would be very appreciative of anyone's suggestions, recommendations, advice, etc. I'm open to any and all comments.
Thank you for reading!
