More of a hiking question than a road trip question, but I didn’t get a response in r/hiking so I am hoping maybe someone in here can give me their thoughts. It’s about personal locator beacons.
I am going on a solo trip to Utah next month. This will be my first solo trip.
I will be hiking in Arches NP, Canyonlands NP, Monument Valley, Bryce Canyon NP, and random places in between. I am not an avid hiker, but I have hiked in multiple national parks.
I don't plan on doing any crazy back country and really long hikes, I just stick to the easy and moderate <5 mile long hikes. I will be staying in town each night in a hotel.
With that being said, do you think it is worth it for me to rent an ACR ResQLink+ PLB, just in case? Including shipping it'll only cost me $50 for the rental.
Better safe than sorry, right?
