Bangladesh: Looks like I'm busting... 49/50 states, 50/59 NPs. Looks like I'm busting... 49/50 states, 50/59 NPs. - Bangladesh

Looks like I'm busting... 49/50 states, 50/59 NPs.

Well as far as my car goes. I finished my trip on Aug 12, 13 weeks and 1 day total. The car surprisingly survived the entire 32,064 miles with only slight complications, new tires and minor mystery hic-ups. I knocked out 50 out of the 59 NPs and along with some monuments, and other sites.

I ended up spending around $10,100 in all, including a new phone that I tossed in as travel expense, so keep in mind this number can still be heavily reduced if you're a minimalist. $2,360.51 in 765.60 gallons of gasoline. $63.01 in 274 lbs of ice. $415.89 in the majority of my sandwich meals, bananas and apples, and occasional snack treat. $681.96 in new tires and tire alignment with shim installations. I collected a $100 souvenir in Washington DC from a speeding camera, long day drive. Aside from that and being wrongfully pulled over while doing 60MPH in a 80MPH zone, everything was all fine and dandy.

I took almost 2000 pictures. Nights spent at: Walmart 45, Airbnb 13, Rest Areas 10, Friends 7, Campgrounds 7, Planet Fitness 2, Hotels 2, Street Parking 1, Truck stops 0, Hospitals 0 (some unaccounted.) I almost filled up my 4TB harddrives with all the dashcam footage and pictures, 100GBs left.

What's next? I'm going to be taking my parents on a ~3,000 through some of my favorite NPs in the four corner states. Getting a rental and doing hotels and airbnb for all nights, though.

Why aren't you going to Hawaii? I decided against shipping my car to Hawaii because it was going to cost about $2,200 to ship it there and back. I figured I can use that money to travel to the remaining 9 NPs later on, as well as take trips such as above, or purchase better camera equipment, since I really enjoyed taking macro and scenery pics. Essentially, I am moving into phase 2 of my 50 state travel plans. I intend to revisit every state, as well as ALL national park services, parks, monuments, etc. through the rest of my life.

Why didn't we see any videos or pictures? I may have mentioned this before. Originally, I wanted to do a youtube channel thing of my trip progress, but I was having too much trouble managing dashcam footage, images backups, daily routine and driving, that I decided to push most things to the back burner and focus on mainly my driving, photo taking, and keeping up with footage processing. I did upload timelapse video of some of my dashcam footage up until I reached Montana. You can find this at my youtube channel All50orBust. I will try to complete the timelapse series ASAP. I have all the video timelapsed, just need to go through it and clump it up into states.

Did you really track every expense on a spreadsheet? About 95% maybe more or less. [Link](Well for as far as my car goes. I finished my trip on Aug 12, 13 weeks and 1 day total.
