Help needed! Should we still take a road trip to the Pacific Northwest next week?

We have a one month road trip planned beginning August 24th. The original plan was to drive north from California into the Pacific Northwest, then into Canada, through Banff and down to Denver and Utah. All these fires have us rethinking the plan.

We haven’t booked anything and can easily pivot to another plan. We have the funds to go anywhere we want. However, I’m mourning the loss of this original plan...

What’s your recommendation? Do you think these fires/air quality will get better? If you could go anywhere in the world for a month, where would you go.
