3 Month American Road Trip.Thoughts?
Hey everyone! :)
A friend and I (Both 22 and from Australia) are planning on coming to North America following the completion of our university degrees at the end of the year. We will buy an RV and travel around Canada for 3 months and then enter the US to travel for 3 months. We are both heavily into the outdoors so will be hitting most of the national parks on the West Coast and Mid-West to do a bit of climbing, surfing and hiking.
I've attached a google map's image of all the places, towns, spots we want to see. The Blue markers are the places we definitely want to go to. The Green markers are places we would like to see but are a bit out of the way, so don't mind skipping them.
So following on from our Canadian leg, we want to spend a month travelling through Washington and Oregon, then a month in California, then the last month in Utah and Colorado. You can kind of get a sense of the route we would take (kind of like an L shape). Planning on entering US like July/Late July. What's Utah and Colorado like in October?
Just wanting to get your opinion as to our 3 month plan in America? We would like to enjoy the trip and not spend every day in the RV so kind of taking it slow. That's why I think this route would suit :)
