I am planning a trip for this Jan/Feb after I graduate college. Planning on taking a southern route from Cincinnati to LA, I want to save money so I want to camp/sleep in my car. I have a 2016 Honda Civic, but I was wondering if it would make sense to save and buy a car that would be more comfortable to sleep and can handle snow better. I already have about $750 saved for food and gas. My budget for a car would be ~$3000. I would put around 6,000+ Miles on it, and don’t want to put the miles on my Civic. But also don’t want to run into car problems. I was wondering if any of you have purchased a car for a road trip and then sold it after the trip?
