I am currently planning a roadtrip in mid-July starting at the north fork of Long Island and ending in Nashville. We have six days for the trip. So far, the plan is to stay in an airbnb in Nashville and possibly one other night, and strictly camping the other nights. One idea was Warm Springs, VA but that was quickly shut down when I realized to enjoy the springs you must stay at their resort. Trying to avoid large expenses such as that.

Does anyone have any recommendations of stops along the way or great places to stay?
