Travelling With Severe Food Allergies

Hey everyone,

I'm very into photography and have always wanted to solo travel to different locations, but there's always been one major issue preventing me; namely, my allergies. Most allergy threads both on and off reddit are about having allergies to a couple specific types of food, which can be circumvented by carefully choosing places to eat and notifying the chefs there.

The problem is, my allergies are incredibly varied, and the major ones pretty much prevents me from eating out most of the time. I cannot have basic ingredients such as wheat, soy, dairy, etc, and the more dangerous ones such as eggs and peanuts can trigger extreme reactions with only trace amounts. Because of this, eating food made by shops, restaurants etc is simply impractical for me due to the risk of contamination (especially since most allergy sufferers seem to not have as many triggers, meaning that while some places may cater towards people who cannot have specific ingredients they probably can't do so towards someone like me who is allergic to 90% of the dish's ingredients.

Since this isn't a health-related subreddit, my question is this. Do you think I can solo travel with these circumstances? For short trips, I usually make dried, preservable food and carry large amounts with me to last me two or three days, but any longer trips I don't think I can sustain by that method. I really want to experience life in other countries in ways other than quick, short trips, but I'm struggling to think of a way I can pull that off.
