Moving Road Trip!
Hi there! So this summer, I've decided to pick up and leave Southwest Florida (the Fort Myers/Naples area) for Denver, Colorado. I'll be driving out there, and this will be my first real westward drive, as I've spent my entire life on the East coast. It'll be quite the trek, but if I'm going to do it, I'd love to be able to see some neat things along the way. I'm planning on dividing the drive into four days of travel (i.e.: SWFL -> Place 1, Place 1 -> Place 2, Place 2 -> Place 3, Place 3 -> Denver), but am having a hard time picking notable spots to see/stay. Some initial ideas I had for the trip are as follows:
Place 1 -Atlanta -Nashville
Place 2 -Fayetteville -St. Louis -Kansas City
Place 3 -Omaha?
For you road trip veterans, how would y'all segment this drive? I'm generally unfamiliar with the heartland and don't know much about what might be in Nebraska/Kansas, so I'm having trouble deciding what to do for Place 3. As I mentioned before, this is really my first time driving West like this, and I'm really excited. Look forward to hearing from you guys!
