So I’m travelling solo to a few countries in Europe next month... I’m pretty cool about the whole thing, except for the first night I arrive in Paris will be after 11.30pm... I’m not so keen on walking to my hostel alone, as a young woman in a foreign city, in the middle of the night... Though I’m arriving by train, so I cant even stay in the airport all night. Their station shuts after 1am... The hostel is only 10 mins away from the station by walk... Will it be possible to get a taxi for such a short distance in Paris? And am I likely to be overcharged as a tourist? Any extra tips on staying safe in Paris? Everyone I speak to about my trip seems to think it’s super unsafe for me to go to Paris alone? Trying to ignore the horror stories, but it’s freaking me out... ahaha
