Inexperienced traveler, solo trip to Tunisia?
Hi guys,
So I've finally decided that it's time for me to do some traveling. I'm 28, working in NYC, and have travelled with family in my teens, but not since I started working. The furthest I've gone is Indonesia, where I'm from.
However, my birthplace is Tunisia, so I was thinking of going there on a solo trip -- and see where we lived, the hospital where I was born, things like that. This is on top of the general trying out different foods, visiting museums and hot spots etc.
Has anyone gone to Tunisia before, and what were your experiences like? Also would you say it's good for an "inexperienced" traveler to go there alone?
The other alternative is Jordan since we moved there after Tunisia -- so I kind of have a point of going to these places because I spent some time there. But otherwise if these choices aren't good for inexperienced first-timers, then I can consider South Korea or Japan.
Thanks!
