I am beyond excited about my first solo travel coming up. Finishing up my itinerary
I just really want to rave about my upcoming trip to you guys!! Reading this sub has been a huge inspiration. Now that I'm finishing up my itinerary and I'm at the point where I'm finally starting to book hostels and whatnot, the excitement has hit me. It was really hard at first figuring out where to go because there's so much to do and so little time. Planning has been super difficult because I'm scatter brained and indecisive. I changed plans like 5 times before finally figuring it out.
I found cheap, CHEAP tickets flying into Berlin - but I'm actually just going to eat lunch in Berlin then take a plane into Poland to visit Auschwitz and explore Krakow. I will be spending a few days there. Then I'm spending 11 days in Hungary. Hungary looks like a fantastic country. There is a lot to do for a solo traveler! It was so, so hard deciding how to split up 11 days in Hungary because all of it looks incredible and everything is so close together.
BUT I finally put an itinerary together - and I'm spending 3 days in Budapest, 2 days in Miskolc/Lillafured, swinging back into Budapest for 2 more days, then relaxing in Lake Balaton for 4 days. As for Lake Balaton, I'm still undecided about where I want to stay specifically but I'm working on it. I'm going to visit castles, caves, thermal baths, take a scenic train ride, explore like crazy, eat tons of amazing food, visiting other places nearby Budapest like Esztergom and Visegrad... This is going to be amazing and it's the perfect trip for me because I love constantly being on the go. I'm so happy!
