Booking tickets directly by operators or by third party question
Hello :)
First I wanna say that I have been lurking this sub for some time and that the stories that you guys share have in some way encouraged me to travel and made me realize that I am totally able to do it on my own, so I wanna thank you for that.
And now, let's get to the point, I am planning a South American trip on September this year and I know that I'll be starting in Colombia and going down from there. So as I am rich in time and not so much in money, I will be flying with three different airlines. I have looked the tickets and the stopovers that I'll have to be doing through kiwi.com and the total amount for the flights is around 360€ , but if I go to each airline website I have realized that I can book the tickets individually for almost 80€ less. The issue is that if I buy it through kiwi website they say:
The Kiwi.com Guarantee protects you from flight cancellations, delays and rescheduling.
So Im not really sure if it's worth it to buy the tickets directly from the airlines website or buy the tickets as a whole package and get this guarantee that kiwi offers me. Also I am not really sure if I, as a european, would have any issues buying tickets from the USA to Colombia.
And that's really all I wanted to ask u guys, any answers will be appreciated!
