Best way to get onto 101 heading north from Yosemite's east entrance (Lee Vining)?
We are visiting Yosemite via the 395 route, so we'll enter the park from the only east entrance. Next destination is Redwood NP but we're attached to driving as much of the 101 as we can on the way. I see a lot of routes when I try to work it into Google Maps and can't figure out which would be most efficient and least frustrating. I definitely don't want to take 120 through Yosemite and I would rather drive through San Fran than Sacramento. So it seems like the best option is the one that takes me up to Fales Hot Springs and through Stanislaus National Forest via 108-W. Has anyone taken this route or another?
