6 Days solo in Israel - need help
Hey guys - I'm looking for some advice on my 6 day Israel Itinerary (early October), right now I'm kind of lost and don't know what to do and could use some help figuring this out. I'm thinking of spitting my time between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. I'm looking to link up with some tours as well as wander around on my own. I really want to see the main sites, but I also want to get lost a little and have fun. Are the trains easy to use for getting around the country? Can anyone recommend good tour operators for day tours, or am I better off on my own? My initial plan looks like:
- Sunday: Arrive, check in at Abraham Hostel in Jerusalem, wander around on my own
- Monday: Day Tour of Jerusalem (is Bein Harem a good tour operator, any recommendations?)
- Tuesday: Day trip to Dead Sea and Masada (any recommendations?)
- Wednesday: Day Trip to north, Sea of Galilee, etc or Petra - Is this worth it?
- Thursday: Head to Tel Aviv (hotel recommedations?), wander the city, any cool bars/restaurants to check out?
- Friday: Depart
Should I spend more time in Tel Aviv? Where are the best places to stay?
Thanks guys!
