Upcoming trip to Los Angeles, need some advice
Hi guys ! So like I said, I'm going to LA very soon for 12 days. For about 8 of those days, I'll be hanging out with my friend, but since she works during the weekdays, I have 4-5 days alone where I can explore the city. So here's the thing : I'm actually coming back from an (amazing) 8-months trip in Asia and, in consequence, am pretty tired about the classic sightseeing. So IDK if I have that much interest in famous places, museums or that kind of thing.
My interests of things to do in LA are mostly eating, hiking and beach ! But here comes the 2nd problem : I wont have any access to a car for these days and will have to settle with public transportation. I've tried using the Metro app to see how it works, but it actually seems pretty terrible compared to the subway app I used in Korea, so I'm a little lost...
Here are my 2 questions :
-
Do you have any recommandations for good hiking/walking spots accessible with public transport ? I dont mind if it's a little difficult as I have decent hiking experience;
-
What is your experience with the LA public transport ? I know it's not going to be as efficient as Korea's or Japan's, but I'm a little worried not having a car will "ruin" my experience.
Well then, thank you for reading and safe travels !
