South America or Australia/New Zealand/Fiji for solo female traveller for 6 months?
I have never been to either place(s). It has to be a place where its easy to meet locals/fellow travellers. Lots of culture and fun stuff to see/do, safe for a solo female traveller and a place which isn't uncomfortable to visit as a black person.
My budget will be around 7000 dollars excluding flights.
I don't speak spanish but I am fluent in english (and danish). Interests: music, historical sites, trying new food.
If I go to Australia/NZ/Fiji - My plan was to island hop and dive in fiji, do an eastcoast roadtrip in AUS, dive great barrier reef, visit the outback. In NZ I would visit both islands, skydive in queenstown, enjoy the beautiful nature new zealand seems to offer.
In South America, I was planning on visiting Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Columbia and Ecuador. In Brazil I wanna see Rio and take a ride on the serra verde. Maybe start in Brazil so I can experience the carnival? Argentina: see the iguazu falls, buenos aires. Chile: Atacama desert, valpraiso, Santiago. Peru: Macchu piccu. Bolivia: dead road, la paz, salar de uyuni. Colombia: I dont know much about what there is to see but I hear its a great place to visit. Ecuador: swing at the end of the world and galapagos.
Both places are quite far away from me (Denmark) which is why I want to spend 6 months there to really explore since Im not sure when I will have the chance to travel for 6 months straight again.
Since I plan to be away for so long it has to be a place where you aren't likely to feel lonely. I would hate to have to cut my trip short.
I will be gone from from february to july (including both months) so there is still some time. I just would like to plan well in advance with regards to money, trips, etc.
