One way solo road trip from South Dakota through Colorado to Phoenix, Arizona then over and up the California coast to Oregon and beyond.
I have a good bit of traveling experience and have been feeling stagnant, so in an attempt to again experience true adventure, im selling/donating 90% of my belongings, quitting my job, paying off all bills for the next 6 months in advance, loading up my 2 faithful dogs in my 4runner and heading out on the road with no plans of how or when the trip will end or where it will ultimately take me. 4runner is set up to sleep in so if i can park and let the dogs take a piss, i can camp but i will also have an MSR tent along if the opportunity arises. I have friends along the way that i will be visiting but for the most part im wide open! Looking for wild hot springs, great organic food coops, good fishing areas, star gazing w/ ZERO light pollution, breath taking views, epic hiking trails (gotta be dog friendly), swimming holes, hidden gem breweries, really anything along these lines i'd be open to checking out. Planning to hit the road in mid May, just had my A/C recharged but any tips for keeping the dogs cool in the the heat would also be appreciated. EDIT; I wanna experience local life everywhere i go, i have no interest in anything that could be classified as "touristy"
