One month. Bosnia & Herzegovina -> Belgrade -> Tbilisi. Opinions and Suggestions?
Hi solo travelers!
I am putting together an itinerary and am looking for suggestions and tips.
I'll be in Israel for a project I'm working on in late May, and my flights there and back (from the US) are covered by a grant. Turns out the grant will cover my flight home, even if it isn't out of Tel Aviv.
So, after the project I am thinking of going from Tel Aviv to Sarajevo and spending about two weeks in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I'd also like to see Mostar. Honestly, the whole country looks gorgeous. Then I'd make my way from Sarajevo to Belgrade (probably via bus?) and spend about a week in Belgrade. From there I'd then fly to Tbilisi and spend about a week there. Now, I know Tbilisi is closer to Tel Aviv and it might seem roundabout, but flying home is cheaper from Tbilisi, for some reason. (Although my flights are payed for, I need to cover the difference if I go over budget.)
Any tips or advice? Is there something glaringly stupid about this plan that I am missing? I know lots of people don't spend so long in one city, but I usually like to take my time. Things I like: just walking around, eating, museums, odd places of interest, live music. If I could see traditional music in any of the places I mentioned I'd be super stoked.
