Hello, first of all I just wanted to say that it was a breeze to get through customs and immigration with the 144 hour transit past.

Anyhow, now I'm stuck on trying to figure out how to make calls to US. I have international data plan from Verizon but as we know satellites and connections in China are routed through their systems.

Every time I tried to make a call it will automatically dail Beijing's code of +86 1(US 8 digits) and I get an automated Chinese lady saying I dailed the wrong number.

So far the only person I could was my brother was is on the same Verizon plan with me.

How do I bypass this? I need to call my bank to allow me to use my card. Thanks.
