Kosovo road trip
I’m american if that matters.
Hey all I get 4 days off during the end of may and I’m thinking of going to Kosovo. There’s not many threads on this sub who has gone solely to Kosovo so I just have some questions.
Where should I stay? Whether it be a hostel, hotel, or Airbnb I am open to anything. I’m currently considering making Pristina my base and renting a car so I can drive on my own schedule.
Which cities should I hit up? I been looking at some cities but it’s hard to find much info on things to do in said cities.
How easy is it to cross the border? I read online mixed experiences about getting into Serbia from the Kosovo border so I’ll just probably avoid that all together. Is it possible to cross into the other countries surrounding it (Montenegro, Albania, and Macedonia)? Theoretically can I drive (in a rental car) from pristina to Macedonia and into bulgaria?
And lastly how actually cheap is it? I read that Kosovo has the second cheapest cost of living only behind I think Ukraine.
I know it’s a lot but if anyone can help to answer some of these questions or give general tips about Kosovo it would be much appreciated !
