g adventures (18-to-thirtysomethings) vs Under 30 Experience
Hello, I'm (22F, USA) looking at booking a travel tour for sometime late this summer. I'm not sure I want to travel completely alone, because I once spent a couple weeks in France alone and got very lonely (although I was only 15, so maybe that factors in). Plus, my family thinks it's safer to travel in numbers and I think I would benefit from the peace of mind knowing that someone else has coordinated all the little details. Thus, I've been looking at group tours. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with either of the companies above.
Is it worth the money? (U30X seems significantly more inclusive in regards to meals, attraction fees, etc). Is there a strong community? I'd love to form friendships with the other travelers. I'd enjoy a night out on the town, but I'm not a huuuge party person... does that seem to be a big focus of many of these "young adventurers" tours?
Appreciate any insight. I might ask more questions if they come to mind.
Edit-- I'm specifically looking at these tours: "London to Budapest on a shoestring" with g adventures (15 days, ~$2500), Ireland/Scotland/London with U30X (11 days, ~$2700).
