As the title says it's my first solo trip. I'm a little overwhelmed in the planning stages, particularly on time constraints in regards to booking hostels. I've got a few in mind but they seem to have pretty strict rules in regards to checking in on time.

My main concern is if plans change. I'm a social person and I'm really hoping to find a fellow traveler and join trips possibly, so I'm worried as to what to do with last minute changes if I plan on going somewhere else with said traveling partner?
