First solo trip; Europe!
I'm gonna be starting in the Amsterdam for a sporting event, and I'm planning to move through either Brussels or Paris, ending the trip in London and flying home from there.
Problem is I have no idea what there is to do in those countries, or if I'm missing out on any places i should visit.
I'm gonna be attempting to take the train from country to country.
I've planned about 3 weeks for the entire trip, maybe a couple days shy of. And I'll be traveling pretty light, just a duffle, a backpack and a skateboard.
Chose Brussels or Paris because they're down south of Amsterdam which puts me closer to my end destination of London. (Also, i hear that they're pretty friendly to non-motorised transport, and i plan on doing most of the sightseeing via skateboard.)
I've got the whole Amsterdam bit of the trip pretty much planned in terms of travel and accommodations.
My budget isn't huge, but i realise Europe is just innately costly so I'm prepared for the expense. Hopefully, I won't come back entirely broke! Will be leaving 4th July to Amsterdam, flying out of London about 25th-26th.
Just wanted to know if anybody had suggestions for places to visit or anything i should be aiming for. I'm really just looking to explore the cities and eat the local cuisine, beyond that and skating I'm walking into this with a very minimal plan just for the heck of it.
If anybody knows anything specific i should be looking to do, I'd love to hear it because I'm open to trying almost anything! Apart from the first 5-6 days in Amsterdam, it feels like I'm overbudgeting time for the other 2 countries.
