Croatia Experiences?
Hi,
I am planning on traveling to Croatia for about a week in early June from Denver, CO.
I have five full days there on my own, plus an afternoon, and am flying in and out through London with one day in London since I have never seen it.
Since I am only there for a short while I wanted to get advice on where to focus my time. I enjoy hiking, swimming, photography, history, and dislike crowds. I love meeting people in hostels.
I was thinking of focusing on Split and Dubrovnik. Perhaps three days split, two Dubrovnik.
I am planning on renting a car since time is short too. I have a strong budget but don't want to spend my life away. I have traveled solo a few times before.
Thoughts on all this? Will it be terribly crowded the second week of June? I hope I made the right call - I was on the fence between Croatia, Norway, and Costa Rica so I hope I made a good call. I have only booked my flights to London so far so I am still flexible!
