Backpack advice: Has anyone been successful using the Osprey Farpoint 55L in Ryan Air with the (13L) daypack removed and under the seat?
Hey all. I am planning on travelling to Europe this summer and have been doing a lot of research into buying backpacks. The Osprey Farpoint 55L seems ideal because it has a detachable day-bag I can remove and use to carry my camera equipment when I am going around (saves me the trouble of buying another camera bag or cramming my North Face day-bag into my backpack. Has anyone had any experience trying to carry this on Ryan Air. That is mostly what I will be using to fly when not taking Flixbus. I read on Amazon reviews that many people were able to detach the 13L backpack and use the main bag (now 42L) as a carryon while putting the day-bag under the seat in other airlines. I am wondering if anyone was able to do the same while flying Ryan Air? It would exceed the dimensions provided on Ryan Air's site but I know that in most airlines you can usually get away with a little extra. Thanks in advance for any feedback!
