Where should I [23F] go for a cheap, first trip as a solo female traveler within the states?

Working my first full time job out of college and will soon have some vacation time at my disposal. My boyfriend doesn't seem to share the same travel goals, so I want to just start traveling alone. I hope to someday have the courage to go wherever I want without fear of being alone as a woman, but want to ease into that with a simple first trip to prove to myself I can do it.

Past trips: I've been to DC, St. Louis, Chattanooga, Fayetteville, various cities in TX that I didn't spend much time in. Always with fam or a group

Length: roughly a week

Budget: the cheaper the better. Flight cost will be the biggest concern. So bonus points if it's cheap to travel there from DFW. Have done a LOT of bus travel visiting fam so that is an option maybe.

Looking for: Maybe somewhere with a nice beach. If alone I'll probably wanna do some reading, walking the city, biking, eating. Somewhere walkable would be a big plus. I like the idea of a service trip, but that's not a necessity. Have considered San Antonio, Austin, New Orleans, etc. But open to any suggestions!!!

Safety: This is my biggest concern. Had a bad experience the one time I took a bus trip without my partner, so I'm a bit scurred. Somewhere I don't have to worry too much about men following me and grabbing at me and shit would be nice.

Any ideas??
