Two Weeks in a Western European City
Hey! I'm a 19 y/o female (will be 20 y/o when I go on vacation) looking to travel to a western European city from April 8 - April 21 for Easter holidays. This is my first time traveling solo, and my first time out of my home country (USA) without my family/friends at all. I am currently studying abroad in the UK, so I know better now about how to get around and such. I only know English and the most basic French.
I do enjoy partying/nightlife, but since I will be alone, it won't be something that I do much (if at all) while I'm there. I mostly want to live as a local would and see the city in all its culture more than I want to do touristy things. I was thinking of in the UK (Edinburgh, Manchester, Bath), Spain (Seville, Barcelona), or Portugal (Lisbon). Are these cities that one can just explore for a couple weeks? Does anyone have any other recommendations that I can consider? Additionally, I plan to work on some heavy essays that I have due immediately following my vacation while I'm there, so cities with good coffee/cafe culture would be nice. Any thoughts?
