Slow Road Trip.
My favorite parts of trips are getting to know the people along the way. I'm planning a trip where I can really explore small-town, red state, non-urban environments and other cities I've yet to visit, maybe spring through fall starting in LA, hitting the West (Idaho, Montana and such), Midwest (Badlands), Detroit, Appalachia, South, etc. Try to spend a few days in each stop, if I can find some fun, use Tinder and spontaneity to meet locals and just find what fun and experiences come my way, get some good thunderstorms, maybe a tornado.
Any general tips on this strategy? Maybe hit up couchsurfing when I get into a town, airbnb, cheap motel?
