Road Trip Advice Needed. Minneapolis > Banff > Vancouver > Seattle > San Francisco
I'll take all and any advice you have. There will be 5 of us traveling from Minneapolis and we're hoping to travel to Banff, Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco over the space of two weeks.
Renting: We're planning on renting a vehicle through Costco (unlimited mileage perks) and driving the entire route. From the very minimal research I've done, it appears far far cheaper to return a rented vehicle from the location you collected it from. We're all super closer friends, but there's a little trepidation on 5 of us, with belongings, fitting into a sedan..Thoughts?
Must See Places: Any places along that route you recommend would be a must see?
AirBnB/Camp Sites: Any recommendations for any of these or how to make the most of getting a place to sleep for the night? We're trying to do this as cheap as possible so of course camping will be the best bet but fitting a bunch of camping gear into a small car is going to be a tough ask. I threw out the idea of hammock sleeping, but I'm really not sure how comfortable that'll be after a day haha.
I welcome any thoughts and advice that you may have. We're looking to leave around June 11. Thanks!
