I spent 10 months last year traveling around Europe and Asia. Some of my favorite experiences were hiking in the alps and Caucuses mountains in Georgia. From looking at pictures, it looks like the Japanese alps are host to some truly stunning views.

From browsing reddit for more info and testimonies to hiking there, it seems like it might be one of Japan’s best kept secrets.

So, anyone done any hiking in that region? How was your experience? Did you find it more difficult than expected. Was accommodation reasonably affordable (relative to what you’d expect in Japan) and accessible? Any info from personal experience would be valuable!! Thanks!
