In my back pocket
I carry a lot in my pockets and I have a lot of pockets. I get so frustrated with not knowing where the one item I am looking for is. Keys, phone, knife, notebook, wallet, flash drive, flashlight, pen, random documents and so on.
So here it is. I am looking for a notebook cover/wallet combo with room for an iphone-7plus and a couple small things to keep in my back pocket. I just want to have most of it in one place.
Help me out.
I am not a small man and I wear work pants traditionally so I have big pockets. I travel a lot and spend a decent amount of time in the elements so I need something durable. I carry my passport, a flash drive and a few other small items constantly and have about 8 cards and a few bills in my wallet.
I tried a satchel to hold everything but it just didn’t work, I need everything I got in my pockets.
I have bullet journaled for years but now my traditional A5 notebook with the Galen Leather cover but it is too bulky for pocket carry and does not have enough card slots.
I have tried the Midori travelers notebook (traditional size) and liked it but haven’t been able to find a good all in one solution. I was nervous about keeping my important cards and passport in it. The overhand of the edges would lead to damage.
I tried using the saddleback leather wallet to hold my midori inserts and it is an incredible wallet but it is very bulky empty. I also was worried about getting pickpocketed with how much it hangs out my back pocket.
So now I am looking at the A6/field notes size booklets to be a bit more manageable. I would like to be able to carry 2 field notes booklets or a moleskine my passport, cards, cash and a pen in one unit. And if there is room for my phone, even better.
I was looking at the Fjallravel travel wallet and like the looks of it. Has anybody used this and what did they think?
If anyone has any ideas on notebook sizes and carry options, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks for any advice!
