I've never been to USA and have no idea how to wrap my head around the trip. I just know I want to see as much great stuff as possible but don't spend 9 hours a day in a car. I guess that means no east coast-west coast road trip and that's where troubles start. Which one should I choose? West coast seems to have more to offer but I've been dying to see New York. I take into account that it's possible to land in place A but go back from place B which would give me more time to sightsee. Obviously we're going to rent a car. 10 days include flying in and out so in reality it's not 10 days of free time. I just hope someone from the US(or who's been there) gives me some insight.
