How do you avoid getting lonely on your travels?
I've never gone further than perhaps 1 hour away from home without my friends or family. I've been to Europe, California, New York etc with people. I'm not even sure what it would be like to spend a whole day in a neighboring state alone. Yet I'm thinking about going on a solo week vacation to Japan, just for the hell of doing something new and different. I fear and worry so much that I'll be anxious and lonely going to places alone.
