Doha layover - 20 hours or 9 hours?
Hey guys,
I am going to buy a flight soon with Qatar Airways, and am planning to make the most of the chance to have a layover in a country I'd never normally visit. I've never been to the Middle East, so I'm interested in catching a glimpse of this country and eating some good food. So my question is - if my flight onwards leaves at 2am, would you recommend booking the flight that arrives in Doha at 5pm (giving me a 9 hour layover), or the one that arrives at 6am (giving me a 20 hour layover)?
So basically I have the option of having a FULL day in Qatar from 6am to 2am, in between redeye flights, which might be a little overkill or having an evening there from 5pm to 2am, which I guess would allow me to visit the main souq and have a nice dinner and a walk.
What would you do? Is
