Budget for 3/4 months in SouthEast Asia?

Hi, so I'm leaving my life and job in NYC in about a month to travel to Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand for hopefully around 3 (maybe) 4 months. Ive been saving for the past 6 weeks and hoping I'll be able to have enough money saved to comfortably travel for 3 months by next month this time. Im guessing a budget of around 60USD a day will be enough? I've been doing some research and most people say you can get by on 30/40$ a day but that seems really low to me. Does anyone have any first hand experience on how much they spent per day in that area? Thanks!

Also if anyone has any tips on more off the beaten sights to see in the region let me know thanks!
