2 Weeks in Australia (First solo, international trip at 23)
On March 18th I will be arriving in Cairns Australia, on March 19th, I will be spending three days scuba diving for the first time off of the Great Barrier Reef, (This has been a dream of mine since I was in High School) I will return on the 21st for a day of exploration, with no real goals, except probably bragging on social media.
On March 22nd I will be going to Kuranda and the "Army Duck and the Koala & Wildlife Park" for the day, following by taking the Skyrail Cableway over the rain forest and then head back to my hotel.
On March 23rd I will be taking the railway to Brisbane and arrive the next day on the 24th, I do not have much planned while I am in Brisbane, I really want to see the nightlife as I hear that the area I am staying in is a very popular college town, this will be the most improvised part of my trip. (If I'm lucky maybe I'll meet a beautiful Australian college girl and live happily ever after! Probably not but a man can dream.) I also really want to see the hype of the "Gold Coast" and what it has to offer, I have lived my whole life at the Jersey Shore so I'm curious to see the differences, in both bar/club scenes and beach culture.
On the 27th I leave out of Brisbane airport for Sydney, the last leg of my adventure. I start the 28th with a Bridge climb of the Sydney Harbor Bridge, and on the 29th more improvisation and city exploration, naturally I plan on making my way to the Oprah House and the surrounding areas for restaurants and anything that catches my eye.
On the 30th I will be boarding a plane back to JFK airport in and hopefully have a bunch of new memories and stories to tell, and if I am really fortunate maybe have met some new friends. I am super excited but also a nervous wreck to travel solo, I am curious to hear what everybody thinks and if anybody has any suggestions.
