I've been interested in going to SEA for 2 weeks, but reading some articles has me concerned about wanting to visit during April due to weather, but I'd love to read in the comments about anyone's experience going in April. I've also considered just going to Peru for 2 weeks, but reading articles has also informed me that it would be harder to find younger backpackers in South America because it's mostly people in their older 20's that go down there, but again, I'd like to hear about anyone's experience with that statement.

What other places should I consider for a 2-3 week trip in April that I can fly from Chicago for under ~$800?
