Thinking of hitting the UP again, need suggestions
Last summer, I went on a little solo trip around the UP. I only had five days so I tried to limit my sightseeing to the more famous places. I went to Tahq Falls, Au Sable Falls, Chapel Lake/Falls, Beaver Lake, Miner's Castle/Falls, I did the Pictured Rocks cruise (highly recommend, it was amazing and you get half price if there's any fog en route), Dead River Falls, Sugarloaf Mtn Trail, Mosquito Falls (this is the only place I regretted hiking to), Laughing Whitefish Falls, Union Mine Trail, Escarpment Trail, Cascade Falls, Presque Isle River Loop, and Piers Gorge. I know there's a couple other places I'm missing but that's the gist of where I visited. I did all this in just under four days. I stayed in a motel in one of the larger towns every night.
Now I have the opportunity to go back, this time with almost two weeks at my disposal. I don't really want to visit any places I have already visited (although I'd be open to exploring Pictured Rocks area more, along with Lake of the Clouds area) and I am completely open to any of your suggestions. I'd like to go up near Sault Ste. Marie and see the city, and go up on Copper Harbor. I'd also like to see more on the south coast (Kitch Iti Kipi is on my list but that's basically it).
